A Moment in Time.....
Rumbling, Roaring, Jolted awake,
blurred Voices around me.
Glass shuddering, lights shattering.
Walls are wobbling like loose jelly,
the sounds of stumbling Feet are everywhere,
Blood pumping through my clenched frozen veins.
Shaking coldly in the house
Blackout
Silence...

Sweet dreams, fade away.
Jolted awake,
Trembling in shock.
Rumbling and rocking dies away.
Warm, light colours rise as daylight appears.
Collapsed buildings,
Roads destroyed, Lying as rubble.
Roads cracked like delicate eggs,
Gardens wrecked by sloppy silt.
People devastated.
Fear haunts everyone!

Frightened paws on my face
Awake
Ground rumbling as the earth groans
I stagger out of bed
Frozen on jolting ground
Screaming in the darkened hallway
Thundering in my shocked ears
Cracked wooden doors colliding
Windows rattling
Unwelcome thoughts enter my mind
Invisible ghostly hands opening drawers
Terror fills my heart where hope used to be
Adrenalin pumping in my veins
Speechless

Screaming, crashing.
Glass rattling. House shaking.
Things breaking. Lights flashing.
Taste of sadness. Heart beating.
Silence.
Darkness came.

I wake up..
All I can hear is growling, smashing.
Screaming fills my ears.
Shivers crawl up my spine as the ground rocks.
Hope enters my body and mixes with fear.
Is it a plane cashing?
I don't know.
But all I know is that there is fear in my heart.
Silence

Alarming, frightening,
Creepy ground shaking like a rattle snake.
Heart beating through my chest.
Movement underneath my feet.
Wall shakes. Roof safe?
Felt safer in blankets.
Panicked
Moved to door frame.
Horrifying as being in a crocodile cage.
Starting to settle. Mum checks on me,
Now it's ...
Aftershocks
Big ones.

Silent sleeping
The nightmare begins
Is it real?
Try to stumble
Ground moving
Objects smashing violently
Standing by doorway
Blood pumping through my veins
Light out
Town goes silent
Shaking like a leaf

Lights swinging, people screaming.
Ground keeps rumbling like a Jumbo jet crashing into my house.
Pictures falling off their shelves,
Adrenaline pumping through my veins.
Taste of fear.

Alarming,
Angry washing machine again?
Wardrobe doors moving violently side to side.
I am shaken awake and get a huge fright.
I haul the covers over my frozen face.
A loud sound fills my ringing ears.
Blood pumping through my body.
Darkness, silence
Earthquake.

Awake.
Door slams.
House shaking
Glass breaking
Lights flicking
Windows rattling like Rattle snakes
Heart beating really fast!
Panicked.
Trying to get out of bed
Big nerve guns fall on me.
Dark comes and covers me...
Or is it just darkness
that has fear in its place..

I'M Awake.
Out from my warm covers.
Rumbling, roaring, vibrating,
wobbling like jelly.
Da rkness.
Warm water leaking through the dark brown walls.
Shock... tremors.... Voices.
Lights flashing, heart pounding.
frightened in shock.
Silence.
Destruction everywhere I look.
Shadowy lines all around.
New little ones beginning
Horrifying!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Eyes open wide,
Piercing screams fill my ears.
Shaking, shuddering, shock.
Dismay washes over me.
I bolt into the room that comforts me the most,
To be with the ones I love.
Darkness.
Silence.
